One of his earliest acting credits was a role in the 2000 TV movie Hendrix.
He has appeared in a number of William Shakespeare 's plays, including Macbeth and A Midsummer Night's Dream. He earned a nomination for Best Supporting Actor in a Drama at the 2nd Canadian Screen Awards for his performance in Orphan Black.
He has been married to Christine Hanchard since 2004.
He worked alongside Joe Pantoliano on the cast of the 2019 drama film From the Vine.
