He was only ten years-old when he first appeared on screen. He had a starring role in 1969 for the CBS Children's Hour in an episode called J.T.

He has also worked as a television and film director, directing several episodes of Fox's Prison Break and a pair of episodes for ABC's Lost.

He was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and has lived in Washington D.C.

He directed Wesley Snipes in the film Passenger 57.
