South Korean actor, producer, singer, and philanthropist known for his roles in the 2008 period drama Portrait of a Beauty, 2014 adventure film Pirates, 2016 disaster film Pandora, the 2017 crime thriller Memoir of a Murderer. He also starred in the television series Queen Seondeok and The Fiery Priest. He is the founder and CEO of the non-profit Gilstory, which focuses on cultural preservation and promoting the arts.

He made his acting debut in the 2005 television show Be Strong, Geum-Soon!.
