Prolific voice actress known for her many anime and video game roles. She is best known for voicing Misato Katsuragi in the influential anime series Neon Genesis Evangelion. She has reprised her role in various video games based on the series, including Neon Genesis Evangelion: Girlfriend of Steel and Neon Genesis Evangelion 64.

She began attending the Katsuta Voice Actor's Academy in the year 1986.

She posts anime-related content on her kotochawanmoon X account, which has gained upwards of 140,000 followers. She sang "A Cruel Angel's Thesis (Director's Edit Version II)" for the Neon Genesis Evangelion Addition album.

She got married in the year 1999 and has one daughter.

She voiced Hilary Swank 's character for the Japanese dub of The Next Karate Kid.
