Singer and guitarist who pursued a solo career after leaving the country act Sugarland in 2005.
She began writing songs and playing guitar as a teenager.
She sued her former band Sugarland in 2008 for millions of dollars and the suit was concluded in November of 2010.
She was raised in Atlanta, Georgia.
She has an ongoing feud with former Sugarland bandmate Jennifer Nettles .
