Celebrity hairstylist and co-founder of the makeup and style website The Beauty Department. She has built a substantial social media following showcasing her work with Hollywood starlets like Lucy Hale and Lauren Conrad .

In high school, she began working in a Beverly Hills Salon and by the age of twenty she was working on runways.

In addition to her hair tutorials on her eponymous website, she also launched her Kristin Ess Hair collection.

She has nine brothers and sisters. Some of her earliest styling experiences were doing her siblings' hair.

She has styled countless A-list celebrities from Rachel McAdams to Amber Valletta .
