ABOUT KYLE MCDONALD

Media artist known for working with code. He built a variety of tools for artists to use new algorithms in creative and subversive ways. He served as an adjunct professor at New York University Tisch School of the Arts' ITP.  His work was shown at exhibitions and festivals around the world including Ars Electronica, Sonar/OFFF, Cinekid, CLICK Festival, and NODE Festival.

He attended Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in New York.

He was a member of F.A.T. Lab, a community manager for openFrameworks, and an artist in residence at STUDIO for Creative Inquiry at Carnegie Mellon. He collaborated with his partner Lauren McCarthy.

He is from the United States.
