ABOUT LACEY JAMIESON

Well known on both Instagram and YouTube, where she accumulated over 10,000 subscribers, this young, accomplished equestrian tragically passed away at the age of sixteen from a rare blood disease called HLH (hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis).

She began posting pictures of horses, and of herself on horseback, to Instagram in January of 2013. A little over two years earlier, in August of 2010, she had uploaded her first equestrian-themed YouTube video.

At the time of her sudden death, she was a student at the Parkside Collegiate Institute and was a volleyball player as well as a passionate equestrian. She had close to 70,000 Instagram followers in the last months of her life.

A native of St. Thomas, Ontario, Canada, she was the daughter of Diana and Douglas Jamieson and the sister of Jimmy and Virginia Jamieson.

She was a passionate equestrienne, like Mary King .
