Actor known for playing the popular Seinfeld character the Soup Nazi. His character's real name was Yev Kassem. His episode premiered in November 1995 in season seven. He was nominated for an Emmy Award for his performance. He reprised the role in the series' final episode.

He worked as a bail bondsman, bartender and janitor. He attended his audition in character in a military uniform. He improvised his famous line, "No soup for you!"

In 2006, he played Saddam Hussein in an episode of Arrested Development . He played Osama bin Laden in a 2007 film Postal. He also appeared in television series including Scrubs , Drake & Josh and CSI: Crime Scene Investigation . He was in films such as Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery and Not Another B Movie.

He married a psychologist named Angela Thomas Friis. She launched a goat yoga business named The Mending Muse.

In Seinfeld, his character is friends with Kramer, played by Michael Richards . His character is in conflict with Elaine, Jerry and George, played by Julia Louis-Dreyfus , Jerry Seinfeld and Jason Alexander .
