Contestant on the 11th season of NBC's The Voice whose is generally wrapped in R&B and Gospel music. She worked as an independent vocal teacher.
She was 6 years old when she first began singing, often times in church. At the age of 11, she performed as part of a group called Unqeek, but they split in 2003.
She won America's Most Talented Kids in 2004 and has performed on American Idol and High School Musical: Get in the Picture.
She became pregnant at 19 years old and would become the mother of a son. Her soon-to-be husband proposed to her backstage after her blind audition on The Voice.
She lost her The Voice battle to We McDonald .
