ABOUT LECHARLES BENTLEY

Former NFL lineman known for his time with the New Orleans Saints, where he made the Pro Bowl as both a guard and center. He was forced to retire after a serious knee injury in 2006 was complicated by a staph infection.

He was an All-American lineman at Ohio State University and won the Rimington Trophy in 2001 as the nation's best center.

After retiring from football, he opened a training center and founded a line of training equipment specifically for offensive linemen.

He grew up in Cleveland, Ohio.

Fellow Buckeye and center Alex Boone started training with Bentley early in his career and has credited Bentley with turning his career around.
