R&B vocalist and songwriter known for such award-nominated albums as Let's Do It Again and Fall For You. Her most popular album, My Soul, peaked at number seven on the United States' R&B music chart. She also appeared on seasons two and three of R&B Divas.

She released her debut album, A Change Is Gonna Come, in 2005. The recording charted in Belgium, France, Sweden, and the Netherlands, as well as in the United States.

Her first album included on its track list a cover of the No Doubt hit "Don't Speak."

She earned the nickname of "Baby Etta," after famous soul singer Etta James . She tied the knot in May of 2018. She later remarried to musician Richard Jenkins in 2020. She has two children.

She opened for Macy Gray during the singer's 2004 concert tour.
