ABOUT LES HORVATH
Versatile football star for Ohio State, who won the 1944 Heisman Trophy, the first Buckeye to earn the award.
He played halfback, quarterback and defensive back for the Buckeyes, who went 9-0 in his Heisman-winning year.
He spent several years playing pro football in Los Angeles and Cleveland before retiring to open his own dentistry practice.
His son Phil Horvath played football for Northern Illinois University.
Eddie George was another Ohio State player to win the Heisman trophy as college football's best player.
