ABOUT LESTER HAYES

Two time Super Bowl winning cornerback as a member of the Raiders organization who also garnered five Pro Bowl selections and the 1980 NFL Defensive Player of the Year honor.

He was an All-American safety for the Aggies of Texas A&M and was drafted in 1977 in the fifth round.

Other honors he racked up in his career include a First-team All-Pro selection and a spot on the 1980s All-Decade Team.

Having spent his career in California, he later resided in Modesto with his wife.

He basically shut down Hall of Famer Art Monk in Super Bowl XVIII.
