She met her future band mate Julie at a crochet class in the L.A. area.
Her band's single "End of the World" debuted as Zane Lowe 's Hottest Record in the World on BBC Radio 1 in 2012.
She and her partner John Stavas welcomed a daughter named Georgia on October 24, 2019.
Her group has been compared to The White Stripes which features Jack and Meg White .
