Emmy-nominated actress best known for her roles in Guiding Light and As the World Turns . She rose to fame in 1980 after being cast in Guiding Light. She continued working on the set as an acting coach after retiring as an actress.
Prior to Guiding Light, she was cast in a small role in Loving.
She performed on Broadway in a 1980s production of 42nd Street.
She was born in Kansas City, Missouri. She died at age 67 after a brief illness.
Martha Byrne played her daughter on As the World Turns. She described Brown as a mother, friend and mentor.
