Lucas Neill
ABOUT LUCAS NEILL
Defender who was named captain of Australia's national team in 2006 after first joining the team in 1996. He made 188 appearances for the Blackburn Rovers from 2001 to 2007 before joining West Ham United.
He played soccer at the Australian Institute of Sport on scholarship from 1994–1995.
He played for Everton, Galatasary, Al Jazira and Al Wasl from 2009 to 2013.
He married Lindsey Morris in 2004.
He became close friends with fellow Australian soccer player Tim Cahill .
