He wanted to be a crabber since he was in elementary school. He began posting content on Instagram in December 2012.

His TikTok account fvsoutherngirl has garnered 1.7 million followers. One of his most popular TikToks features advice for storing crabs before eating them. It has garnered over 10 million views.

In February 2023, he got engaged to Lindsey Slough. He's of half-Korean and half-Irish descent.

In July 2016, he posted a photo alongside actor Seth Green .
