ABOUT LUZ RIVAS

Educator most well known as the co-founder of KitHub, a STEAM learning resource, and the founder of DIY Girls, an educational program meant to increase young girls' interest in technology and engineering.

She earned her bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from MIT before achieving a Masters of Education in Technology in Education from Harvard University.

She has had a long and illustrious career working with companies and institutes like Motorola, Caltech, and the American Museum of Natural History.

She was raised by Mexican immigrants in Los Angeles, California.

Both she and Reed Hastings are entrepreneurs with a strong passion for education.
