ABOUT MAAYA SAKAMOTO
Using her voice as a singer-songwriter and voice actress, Maaya provided the voice Hitomi Kanzaki in The Vision of Escaflowne, just one of countless anime and animation voice roles over her two-plus decade career.
She debuted as a voice actress in 1992 in Little Twins.
Her singles "Tune the Rainbow," "Loop," "Ame ga Furu," and "Triangler" all landed within the top 10 of the Oricon singles chart. She had similar success with her albums Shōnen Alice, Yūnagi Loop and You Can't Catch Me, the latter landing the top chart spot.
She married Kenichi Suzumura in 2011. She has an older brother.
She provides Japanese voice dub-over for Natalie Portman .
