Mexican actor who gained worldwide recognition as Namora in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever . Prior to that she was known for her work in the TV series Capadocia.

She studied for a bachelor's degree in psychology and later a master's degree after graduating with a degree in acting. She began her training at the CasAzul Artes Escénicas Argos Academy in Tlalnepantla de Baz.

Before getting the role in Wakanda, she did not speak English and did not know she was auditioning for a Marvel film. Upon getting the part, she moved to Atlanta, Georgia, where she spent nine months taking English classes and preparing physically for her character.

She was born in the state of Mexico but grew up in Minatitlán, Veracruz. Her mother and sister share the same name: Dulce.

Her costars in the Black Panther movie include Tenoch Huerta , Angela Bassett , Lupita Nyong'o , and Michaela Coel .
