ABOUT MALACHI KIRBY
Star of the 2016 television revival of the Roots in the role of leading man Kunta Kinte who had previously seen in a number of episodes of Jekyll & Hyde and EastEnders. He later landed a starring role in an episode of the anthology series Black Mirror.
He was a teenager when he first began receiving bit acting parts.
He first watched the original Roots when he was 22 years old.
He is of Jamaican descent and is from South London.
He reprised the role of Kunta Kinte initially played by LeVar Burton at the recommendation of Burton himself.
