ABOUT MALAVIKA
Known for her roles in Rojavanam (as Sindhu), Chandramukhi (as Priya), and numerous other Indian Tamil films, the actress known as Malavika is also recognized for her work in Hindi and Telugu features such as, respectively, Naina (2005) and Chala Bagundi (1999).
Her earliest screen acting credits include performances in the Selva-directed feature Rojavanam and in the Karthik starrer Anantha Poongathe.
She made her Malayalam movie debut in the 2002 feature Phantom Pailey.
Born Shweta Konnur, she spent her early days in Bangalore, India, and later took on the stage name of Malavika and the married name of Shweta Konnur Menon. She has two children.
She and Mammooty were both in the cast of the 2006 movie Karutha Pakshikal.
