ABOUT MALEAH JOI MOON

Actress and singer who became famous as the star of Alicia Keys ' musical Hell's Kitchen. She made her Broadway debut in the show, which opened at New York's Shubert Theatre in 2024. That same year, she was a guest at the Met Gala.

As a child, she performed in the choir and played trumpet and French horn. She played Dorothy in a school production of The Wizard of Oz .

She was in workshops for stage productions and auditioned unsuccessfully for Broadway musicals including The Lion King and Six . Her high school theater teacher coached her through the audition for Hell's Kitchen.

Her parents are Fabia Jeffries and Steve Moon. Her parents separated when she was young, but continued to live near each other.

She acted alongside Shoshana Bean and Brandon Victor Dixon in Hell's Kitchen.
