ABOUT MARCEL VEENENDAAL

Dutch singer and frontman of the band Di-rect. He rose to fame in 2004 when he appeared in the television program AVRO's Sterrenjacht, where he was runner up in the final. He has appeared in theater and musical productions such as Jesus Christ Superstar , The Wiz and Hair . He was a coach in the singing program It Takes Two in 2018 and 2019. Both of his candidates won.

He grew up in Ede. He would participate in jam sessions and was also affiliated with the Wageningen musical theater Reekeloo. In 2009 he competed in the BNN television program 'Wie is Di-Rect', where he was chosen as the new lead singer.

His veenendaalmarcel Instagram page has 60,000 followers. He posts pictures of his wife and two children. He also posts shots of him recording in the studio and at performances.

His wife and two children appear frequently on his Instagram. A 2021 post of his daughter in a mermaid tale went on to gain over 11,000 likes.

He has done voice actor work in cartoons such as Phineas and Ferb .
