ABOUT MARCUS EDWARDS

Winger and attacking midfielder who began representing England as early as their U16 team. He signed with Tottenham Hotspur and was loaned out to Excelsior for 2018-2019.

He was eight years old when he joined the academy system at Tottenham Hotspur.

In 2015, he was part of the UEFA European U-17 Championship Team of the Tournament. He was part of a UEFA European Under-19 Championship team as well.

He became eligible to play for both England and Cyprus through his mother.

Mauricio Pochettino compared him to a younger Lionel Messi due to his low center of gravity and ability to beat a man one on one.
