ABOUT MARíA DEL PILAR
Singer known for her use of the ukulele, her single "Miss Funeral" was featured on NPR's "Undeniable Strength of a Great Song." Her influential song "Ilegal En Estyle" about illegal immigration was named by OC Weekly as one of the decades top ten songs about the subject.
She was first known as the singer for bilingual rock band Los Abandoned based out of Los Angeles, California. They began in 2001 but announced their disbandment in 2007 via their Myspace page.
She performed at the 2015 festival Vive Latino in Mexico City.
She is bilingual and has called both Santiago, Chile and Van Nuys, California her home.
Much like Alanis Sophia , she is a popular bilingual singer.
