Known both for his skateboarding skills and for his popular web posts, Ortega had, by late 2014, attracted an audience of nearly 3,000 Instagram followers.

He began to gain an internet following after launching a Twitter account that showed images of his skateboarding tricks.

Many of his Instagram posts feature images of various skateboarding shoes.

He was born and raised in California.
