Portuguese soccer player who's known for playing for the Italian clubs S.S.C. Napoli and Roma. He also played for Empoli, Gubbio, Parma, Fátima, and the Portugal national football team.
He started his career by joining local club Vasco Gama Sines in 2001. Later, he played for the youth teams of Sporting Clube de Portugal, Valencia CF, and S.L. Benfica.
He was chosen to play for Portugal in the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
He has a daughter named Carolina with his wife Renata.
Both he and Leandro Paredes played for Roma and Empoli.
