ABOUT MARISOL GONZáLEZ
The winner of the 2002 Nuestra Belleza Mexico pageant, Gonzalez went on to compete in Miss Universe 2003, but was eliminated early in the competition. She later played a recurring role on the telenovela La Verdad Oculta and worked as a reporter for the Mexican sports channel Televisa Deportes.
She grew up in Torreon, Coahuila, Mexico.
She appeared with Danna Paola in several episodes of the soap opera Contra Viento y Marea.
She was briefly engaged to professional boxer Saul Alvarez . In 2014, she married Rafael Márquez Lugo .
Gonzalez and her fellow competitors lost the 2003 Miss Universe pageant to Dominican model Amelia Vega .
