ABOUT MARK WYNTER

English crooner of the 1960s who had several top twenty hits, including "Venus in Blue Jeans" and "Go Away Little Girl."

He was performing at a local dance hall at the age of sixteen when he was spotted by a record executive.

His soft singing style was soon overtaken by the rock 'n' roll sounds of the Beatles, and he went into stage acting instead.

He was born Terry Lewis in Surrey, England.

He starred in numerous West End productions, including the 1986 revival of Charlie Girl, which starred Cyd Charisse .
