ABOUT MARKEES CHRISTMAS

Up-and-coming film and television star best recognized for his portrayal of the title character Morris Gentry in the 2016 coming of age comedy Morris from America.

He was forced into acting after he was told that if he did not participate in the school play for extra credit he would fail sixth grade. Though he wasn't pleased about it, he was serendipitously cast in the lead role in A Raisin in the Sun.

His Big Brothers and Big Sisters mentor Matt Hill created the Markees Vs. short films series with him and submitted the videos to Dan Harmon and Rob Schrab's Channel 101.

He grew up alongside his mother, LaTonya, sister, and niece in Los Angeles, California. His father, Michael, is a mechanic.

In the acclaimed independent film Morris from America, he starred opposite former The Office star Craig Robinson .
