ABOUT MARTEN DE ROON

Veteran defensive midfielder that has played soccer professionally in countries such as Italy, England, and the Netherlands during his club career. He is best known for his years with the Italian Serie A club Atalanta BC, in which he joined the club in 2017. During that time, he also played for the Dutch men's national team.

He initially began playing soccer at the young age of six. The first soccer club he joined was ASWH.

His number 15 jersey number, is the same as fellow footballers Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain , Eric Dier , and Fabinho . His soccer fame has led him to amass over 250,000 followers on his martenderoon15 Instagram account.

He lives along with his wife, Ricarda, and their family. He is a father of three daughters.

He was coached by Ronald Koeman as a member of the Dutch men's national team during the 2024 UEFA EuroCup qualifiers.
