Professional forward that was drafted by the Carolina Hurricanes during the first round of the 2017 NHL Entry Draft. He has also made appearances a member of the Russian national hockey team.

He began his professional hockey career in 2016 playing for the Kometa Brno Hockey Club.

He scored his first career NHL goal playing against the Tampa Bay Lightning on October 16, 2018.

He is a native of Nove Mesto na Morave, Czech Republic.

He played alongside Sebastian Aho as a member of the Hurricanes during the 2021-2022 NHL season.
