ABOUT MARYAM JAFRI
Copenhagen-based contemporary artist whose work has been featured by Art Forum, Camera Austria, Frieze, and countless other media outlets. She is known for her artistic endeavors across a broad spectrum of mediums, including video, sculpture, and performance.
She earned a bachelor's degree in English & American Literature from Brown University before going on to earn her master's from New York University 's Tisch School of the Arts.
She graduated from the Whitney Museum Independent Study Program. She has created artistic films including Costume Party, Mariam Jafri vs. Maryam Jafri, and Mouthfeel. One of her most famous and popular still pieces is called "No Lithium, No Work."
She is originally from Pakistan.
