ABOUT MATTHEW NEWTON
Australian television actor who became known internationally for acting in Queen of the Dammed. In 2002, he was nominated for a Logie Award for his performance in the TV series, Changi.
He made his Australian television debut on a 1987 episode of The Flying Doctors.
He directed and wrote the indie film Three Blind Mice, which won awards at the London and Thessaloniki Film Festivals in 2008.
He is the son of television actors Bert and Patti Newton and has a sister named Lauren.
He co-starred with Luke Ford in the 2011 drama, Face to Face.
