ABOUT MAUREEN TEEFY

American stage and screen actress whose best known roles include the musical films Fame and Grease 2.

She and her seven sisters grew up in an Irish Catholic family in Minneapolis. Early in her acting career, she toured with the Minneapolis Children's theater.

She studied at the Boston Conservatory and at the Juilliard School and went on to perform in several Broadway musicals.

She married Alexander Cassini and had a daughter named Isabella.

She appeared with Faye Dunaway in the 1984 DC Comics-inspired film, Supergirl.
