Reggae musician who is only one of two British reggae musicians to have a #1 song on the American Billboard Charts with his song "Close to You" in 1990.
He grew up in Jamaica with his family, listening to many kinds of music including reggae, gospel, and R&B.
He recorded a cover of a Japanese song called "Vivid Colors" by the band L'arc~en~Ciel in 2012.
He has two sons named Ryan and Marvin.
He collaborated with fellow reggae singer Shaggy for the 1996 song
"That Girl."
