ABOUT MAXIM NOREAU

Hockey defenceman best known for his time as member of NHL teams like the Minnesota Wild and Colorado Avalanche. He won a Spengler Cup title representing Canada in 2012.

He was born in Montreal and played for the Victoriaville Tigres in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League starting in 2004.

He had a stellar 2012-13 season with HC Ambri-Piotta in the Swiss league National League A, where he recorded the most points and assists by a defenceman.

His younger brother, Samuel, has played for the New York Rangers.

He has been teammates with Jarome Iginla on the Colorado Avalanche.
