ABOUT MAYADA GARGOURI
French illustrator and writer who, along with her older sister Maissa, created the comic strip Desperate Bledardes. Her comics can also be seen on her Instagram page which has reached over 430,000 followers.
The idea for her comic strip began in 2009 as a video montage that she posted on Facebook.
She was named Yvelinoise of the Year by Courrier des Yvelines in 2014.
She and Maissa were raised in the Paris area by Tunisian-born parents.
Desperate Bledardes is a parody of Desperate Housewives which was created by Marc Cherry .
