Medina Dixon

ABOUT MEDINA DIXON

Olympic and college basketball player who played with the USA National Basketball Team and Old Dominion University . She won a bronze medal at the 1992 Olympics in Barcelona, and a gold medal at the 1990 FIBA World Championships.

She started playing for Old Dominion in the 1981-1982 season. Two years later during her junior year of college, she would reach many of her college career high stats including scoring over 600 points in the season.

She was nicknamed "Ice" by her coach Alfreda Harris, because she was so 'cool' under pressure.

She and her wife Hiroyo have a daughter who was born in 2005.

She played alongside Teresa Edwards at the 1992 Olympics.
