ABOUT MEL BUTTLE

Australian comedian and TV show host who has gained fame as primary host of The Great Australian Bake Off. She began hosting on season two of the show before becoming a regular.

She earned a bachelor's degree from Griffith University in 2003. She subsequently earned a post-grad degree in marketing from Curtin University.

She won the Directors Choice Award at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival for her 2013 solo show How Embarassment. She appeared on the Australian reality TV show I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here .

She was born and raised in Brisbane, Australia.

She has opened for fellow comedian Tommy Little .
