She attended Texas A&M where she graduated in 1993. Following her graduation she became a pharmaceutical sales rep.
She later published three books entitled Sparkly Green Earrings, The Antelope in the Living Room and Nobody's Cuter Than You. She has collaborated with the make-up brand Sephora in 2022.
She and her husband, Perry, wed in 1997 and they later welcomed a daughter named Caroline.
