Activist and documentary filmmaker known for marrying Hunter Biden in May 2019. They famously tied the knot just six days after first meeting. She is known as an advocate for environmental groups. She was co-owner of the conservation company Tribal Worlds.

She earned a degree in interior design from Greenside Design Center College of Design in South Africa. At 21, she moved to the United States.

Her first language was Xhosa. She didn't learn English until she was six years old. She was a member of Greenpeace.

In March 2020, she welcomed her son Beau. She became a step-mother to her husband's daughters Naomi Biden , Finnegan Biden and Maisy Biden .

In January 2021, she wore a red coat as she appeared at her father-in-law Joe Biden 's inauguration.
