TV actress famous for her roles in Ruthless, The Oval , Poz Roz, and If Loving You Is Wrong. She took on the lead role in Ruthless for 53 episodes of the series. The show, Ruthless, is a spin-off of The Oval. Both shows were created by Tyler Perry .

She began taking the stage at a young age by performing for family talent shows. She studied theater at Clark University in Atlanta. In 2017 she made her movie debut in Escape Artist.

She has produced several music videos throughout her career. She promotes her acting career and posts photos of friends on her melissa.l.williams Instagram page, which has amassed 140,000 followers.

She is the oldest of seven siblings.
