Grammy-nominated singer and songwriter, known primarily for winning season 9 of Sunday Best . He has accumulated over 14 million views on his self-titled Melvin Crispell III YouTube channel.

As a toddler, he traveled to Japan with his parents, where he assisted them in teaching music to other Japanese toddler students.

At only 23 years old, he received his first Grammy nomination for Best Gospel Performance/Song with his hit "Wonderful Is Your Name," written by his late father.

He was born into a musically influenced family. His father, Melvin Crispell Jr., composed and played instruments on numerous award-winning songs for some of gospel music's biggest artists. Meanwhile, his mother, Tunesha Crispell, was a celebrated gospel singer who has done some solo singing projects, and also some well-known gospel recordings as a member of the church choir.

His 2020 single "Wonderful is Your Name" is a rendition of a song by legendary gospel singer Hezekiah Walker .
