She was a successful sculptor in New York from 1958 to 1967.
She spent over ten years researching her book on goddess culture and female driven religions, which was published as The Paradise Papers in the U.K and When God Was a Woman in the U.S.
She was born in Brooklyn, New York and taught at the State University of New York at Buffalo.
