Michael Bridges
ABOUT MICHAEL BRIDGES
Journeyman English forward who joined the Newcastle Jets in 2009 after previously playing for such teams as Hull City Sunderland and Leeds United. He won the Football League First Division three times with Sunderland.
He played in the Sunderland youth system for a year before joining their first team in 1995.
He helped Carlisle United win a Football League Two title in 2006.
He grew up in North Shields, England.
He and Noel Whelan both played for Leeds United.
