He earned a bachelor's degree in theatre from California State University, Northridge.

After high school, he entered the United States Marine Corps and eventually became a platoon sergeant.

He is one of six children born to his mother.

He has starred opposite Jenn Barlow in the Totally TV parodies of Frozen.
