ABOUT MICHAEL R. JACKSON

American playwright, composer, and lyricist known for his acclaimed musical A Strange Loop, which premiered at Playwrights Horizons in 2019. He worked with composer and lyricist Anna K. Jacobs on the musical adaptation of the 2007 indie comedy horror film Teeth. His work has earned him numerous awards and honors.

He earned a BFA in playwriting and an MFA in musical theatre writing from the New York University Tisch School of the Arts.

In 2020, he won the Pulitzer Prize for Drama for A Strange Loop. He received the Windham-Campbell Literature Prize for drama in 2021.

His mother is named Mary.

Arthur Miller was also a famous American playwright.
